| Playdays for U9 Development Team Formation |
Each club in the Santa Cruz County League will arrange two Playdays.
These two dates are when the selected coaches can select players for the U9 team,
between 12-14 players. Remember that the U9 Developmental format will have a modified
Game Days structure so that all players will have maximum game time.
The U9 Development League will not have tryouts but rather Play Days.
It differs from a tryout in that:
| • | It is not wholly based on skill but rather 'heart', i.e. willingness,
commitment and love of the game. It gives us the chance to explain this to both
players, parents and coaches. |
| • | Coaches, you too will benefit from this developmental league.
Several training sessions for coaches, designed to build skills, confidence and
maximize results in a FUN enviroment. Training by the league - at your practice
field, monthly coaches meeting and more. |
| • | To develop and then maintain a local competitive level
Division 3 U10 league in the Santa Cruz area. No driving over 'the hill'! |
Date & Time, Group, Location:
Mid County Play Days will be held at Anna Jean Cummings Park (AJC)
, or Soquel High School, Soquel.

| More Information |
The U9 Developmental League and Class 3 are different. The U9 Developmental
League is a new, interesting, exciting and fun program that is ultimately designed
to get players and coaches ready to play at Class 3 level and above with more
skill and confidence. To gain a greater respect for self and others, and to expand
their understanding of team and team spirit.
The priority of this league is to promote good soccer learning and sportsmanship
based on the principles of the Positive
Coaching Alliance (PCA).
