Interested in Earning Extra Money on the Weekends?
Adults, boys and girls ages 13 and up are encouraged to go through the
referee training. It's a great 1st job for teens. You only go through
the class once, then renew your license each year, unless you strive for
a higher level license. Check link below for details of upcoming licensing
clinics in other areas.
If you complete a referee clinic and become licensed you can be paid
to referee. Its also
a great chance to learn more about soccer and explain all those strange
calls to your parents and teammates.
Mid-County Soccer Club always needs assistant referees (line judges),
and this is a great way to learn with more experienced center refs and
still be paid. Then, as you gain experience, you can consider center refereeing.
A mentoring program and positive feedback of the game you referee is available
to improve your skills.
