Recreation Coaches Info
Our recreation coaches are all volunteers; some with extensive soccer knowledge, some with little to none. They all have the spirit of community involvement. There are over 100 recreation coaches, assistant coaches and team parents that serve teams from U6-U14 and above. Mid County Club would not exist if these volunteers did not step forward to help the kids of our community. All coaches have been through the Live Scan process operated by the county in conjunction with the Justice Department.

As a coach for MCYSC player safety and well being is important. MCYSC protocols is that coaches are never alone with a player that or drive other players home alone.
Our recreation program is designed for youth players to practice, play, and develop a love of soccer. The season begins in August and finishes in November. Teams are instructed and coached by volunteers (often parents) and have the support of numerous resources within our club. Practice times and frequency are dependent on age. Younger teams (such as "6under" or 6u) practice one weekday a week and have a Saturday game while older teams practice two days a week length varies on age group. Our club creates teams for a wide variety of ages ranging from 4-years old to 17-year old players. In general, teams are formed in age categories which include two year spans. Mid County Recreation teams are also formed on a gender basis. Girls teams will only play against other girls teams, etc.
